We primarily price by word count, which is the most accurate and fair method. A "page" can vary widely in word density, so per-word pricing ensures you only pay for what's actually translated. For very short documents (under 200 words), a minimum project fee of ¥5,000 applies.

Urgent requests are those requiring delivery within 24–48 hours. These carry a 50% surcharge due to the prioritization required. If your deadline is within 3 business days, that falls under our standard Professional tier with no rush fee. We always confirm the timeline before starting.

The retainer includes monthly strategy calls (typically 2–4 hours), unlimited email support for day-to-day questions, priority scheduling for urgent matters, quarterly business reviews, and access to our local network in Japan. The exact scope is agreed upon at the start of the engagement and can be adjusted as your needs evolve.

Our fee is a percentage of the total order value (product cost). For Sourcing Only, this is 5–10%; for Full Service including logistics, it's 10–15%. This percentage covers our coordination work — it does not include the product cost itself, shipping fees, customs duties, or taxes, which are passed through at cost.

Yes! For translation projects over 10,000 words, we offer volume discounts of 10–20%. For ongoing retainer clients and repeat trade partners, we negotiate preferential rates. Long-term relationships are important to us — the more we work together, the better the value we can offer.

We accept bank transfers (domestic and international), and can arrange invoicing in JPY or USD depending on your location. For new clients, we typically require a 50% deposit before work begins, with the balance due upon delivery. Retainer clients are billed monthly in advance.

We stand behind our work. If a delivered translation or report does not meet the agreed specifications, we will revise it at no extra charge. For consulting services, we offer a satisfaction guarantee on the first session — if you're not happy after the initial consultation, you won't be charged. We're committed to earning your trust.
